Nimitz Elementary school Sunnyvale

The past 8 days in Nimitz were so much fun. Ill never forget these weeks.
Tomorrow is my last day so here is a little summary of what I have done in school the past 2 weeks.

Mondays always start with a plegde to the flag of America to start of the week. After the pledge the head of the school tells the kids one thing they have to work on for the week like keeping the school clean, and in return they give the students music during recess on friday.

After all that the students go to class. Every morning the teacher discusses what's for lunch and the activities that the class will do for the day.
The class does a daily activity called 'Guess the word'. This activity is used to expand the vocabulary of the children. Mr. Oshiro (the teacher)gives them a clue about a word they have to guess.
Then from 9:00 to 10:00 there is a program called RTI where they exchange students from different classes sorted on their readingskills. During this hour the class reads stories and practice their fluency.
During the day they just have activities like math and science.
Mr. Oshiro lets me check homework the kids have to do, and he lets me sort out some papers. Sometimes i get to do activities with the kids from class, which is really funny because they are really excited about hand-on activities.

This week we made Mother's day gifts. We colored markers and mother's day cards.
During some free time like at the end of recess the children stand around my desk and start asking me questions like what my favourite food is.

I am really going to miss the weird questions and the hyperactive kids.
